Old Habits Die Hard

-Working title-

The story starts with a husky old women coming out her front door to get today’s paper, as she starts reading a faint smile is on her face. Shortly after, her attention is drawn to something approaching from the right. It is a tiny old lady on an electrical wheelchair, she pulls up beside the husky one.

After a short greeting she starts showing the tiny lady an article in the paper, just as she is about to react to the article they are interrupted by the heavy drone of what sounds like a Harley. Looking up they see a biker pulling up to the intersection, waiting for the traffic lights to change.

The biker gives the old ladies a brief nod, the ladies staring back with contempt for the badly timed interruption.

The ladies look at each other and seem to have reached an agreement.

The tiny lady starts revving on her electrical wheelchair.

The biker, not sure what to make of the situation, shakes his head in disbelief. The ladies keep revving, the husky one egging the biker on. Still unsure what to believe the biker tries to ignore them, he looks up at the traffic light.

Still on red.

Revving from the wheelchair has started to get more intense. The biker ponders the dilemma and reaches a decision.

The biker starts revving his motorbike. The ladies retaliate with more frantic revving, the husky lady now even more determined to infuriate the biker.

The revving goes back and forth building up the tension.

The light turns yellow.

Both teams are eager to blast off, just waiting for the whistle to blow. The husky old lady has taken her place on the back of the wheelchair. Continuous and frantic revving roars on.

The yellow light starts to blink.

At this exact moment, just as both sides seem to be brimming with competitive rage, the old ladies quickly turn to face the biker and open their gowns. Both ladies are now flashing the biker. The biker reacts to the change of events and gets a horrified expression on his face.

The biker closes his eyes, releases the clutch and flies off into the intersection.

A car horn is heard, then a crashing sound. The ladies looking in the direction the sound is heard from.

In celebration the elderly women start driving slowly forward, the husky lady on the back flings her newspaper in the air. It lands on the pavement.

As we get a closer look at the front of the paper an article reads;

“10 motorbike accidents this month! Drivers still conscious blame frisky old women!?” (The article Continues…)
